Ann & Hobie Woods
Founders/Owners/Operators

Ann and Hobie Woods met as counselors at Kennolyn Camp in 1965.  Their dream of owning and directing a summer camp  became a reality in 1972 with the opening of Roughing It Day Camp.  Together Ann and Hobie have 80 years of combined experience in organized summer camps and youth leadership.

We are excited to introduce our newest program in the Roughing It Family of Day Camps- Acteeva Day Camp! 

• Experience. Our career in summer camps began in 1965 as camp counselors, and we founded Roughing It Day Camp in 1972.  We have over 80 years of combined camp experience.
   
• Caring, well trained staff and safe environment. Our staff members are all adults who are carefully selected and trained. Safety is our top priority.  Campers are supervised at all times.
